REVERSE ENGINEERING APPLIED TO
MALWARE ANALYSIS

Course Description

This is an introductory course on reverse engineering and code analysis for people who want to venture into malware analysis. It is designed so that people with little or no experience in this area can attain the tools to quickly understand how a threat works by focusing on the more practical aspects of analysis. The course begins by presenting a theoretical basis for leveling concepts, and continues with the analysis of real cases.


Instructors


Gabriela Nicolao is an information systems engineer at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (Argentina) and a Specialist in Cryptography and Teleinformatics Security at Universidad del Ejército (Argentina). She works at Deloitte in the Threat Intelligence & Analytics area. She performs malware analysis, network traffic analysis, incident response and research on indicators of compromise that can help clients defend against a threat. Gabriela has 7 years of experience in the field of information security.


    

Fernando Tavella is an information systems engineering student and a Vulnerability Management Consultant at Deloitte, performing penetration testing, source code analysis, reverse engineering, and scripts for task automation. Fernando has 1 year of experience in the field of information security.
